Consultation: During this consultation, your skin concerns and treatment goals are discussed, and a personalised treatment plan is developed.
Preparation: Before the treatment, the skin is cleansed, and any numbing cream may be applied to minimise discomfort during the procedure. Profhilo already contains a local anesthetic called lidocaine, so the discomfort is usually minimal.
Injection: Profhilo is injected into specific points on the face or other treatment areas using a fine needle. The injection technique typically involves five injection points on each side of the face (a total of ten points for the full face). The product is strategically placed in the subdermal layer of the skin.
Massage: After the injections are administered, gently massage the treated areas to help distribute the product evenly beneath the skin.
Post-Treatment Care: There is little to no downtime with Profhilo, and you can usually resume your regular activities immediately. However, it’s advisable to avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun exposure, and certain skincare products for a short period following the treatment.
Follow-Up Sessions: Profhilo is typically administered in two sessions, with a four-week gap between the sessions. Some individuals may require additional sessions depending on their specific needs and goals.
The effects of Profhilo gradually become noticeable over a period of a few weeks as it stimulates collagen and elastin production in the skin. The results are natural-looking and typically last for about six months. After this period, maintenance sessions may be recommended to sustain the improvements in skin texture and elasticity.
